Mining And Prospecting Right License Applications

The primary legislation which regulates mining in South Africa is the MPRDA, which came into force on 1 May 2004. Other relevant statutes include the:
- Mineral and Petroleum Resources Royalty Act 2008.
- Mining Titles Registration Act 1967.
- Precious Metals Act 2005.
- Diamonds Act 1986.
- Mine Health and Safety Act 1996 (MHSA).
- National Environmental Management Act 1998 (NEMA).

Application for coal prospecting right license in Elandslaagte, outside Ladysmith, Kwazulu Natal Province.
The project began with the identification of the potential coal farm, submission of the application to the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, consultation with all interested and affected parties, preparation of a basic assessment report, and preparation of an environmental management plan. The project was carried out and successfully completed within the specified time frame.

Application for Cobalt, copper, lead and zinc prospecting right license in Rooiputs, ZF Mgcawu, Northern Cape Province, ZF Mgcawu, Northern Cape Province.
