He holds two Masters Degrees from University of Witwatersrand, that is MSc Eng Mining (Rock Mechanics/Rock Engineering) and MEng Mining (Mineral Economics, Mineral Resource Evaluation and Environment and Sustainable Development).

Mr. Zvarivadza has over 10 years of mining industry experience across several mining companies and organisations at an international level. This include large scale exploration, several environments for both underground and surface mining, international rock engineering consulting, numerical modelling using a number of codes, international geotechnical research with several countries, mining machinery service industry, academia among others.

Tawanda is Knowledgeable in geotechnical engineering designing, drawings and specifications for a wide range of construction projects with an emphasis on the utilization of earth material. Skillful in obtaining data on soil composition to ensure the strength of foundations and supporting structures. Passion for ensuring that construction efforts are as environmentally friendly as possible.

Tawanda gain working experience in companies/organisations including African associated Mines, Todal Mining, Buchwa Iron Ore Mining Company, Atlas Copco Zimbabwe, SRK Consulting South Africa, University of the Witwatersrand as well as research work with the Japanese National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology.

Tawanda served as a Lecturer for different Mining Engineering courses at both Postgraduate and Undergraduate levels at the University of the Witwatersrand School of Mining Engineering.

He is an active member of several International Professional Organisations including: Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM), South African National Institute of Rock Engineering (SANIRE), International Society for Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering (ISRM), American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA – Lifetime member), Society of Mining Professors (SOMP) and Golden Key International Honour Society (GKIHS – Lifetime member) among others.

Tawanda has authored and co-authored more than 70 international peer reviewed conference and journal papers published in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Australia.
